5. Press the shaft into the impellor until the pump housing abuts against the face of the adaptor ring. If excessive pressure is exerted on the shaft after the rear face of the housing has made contact with the adaptor ring, the pump bearing will become damaged. Refer to the General Data Section, in this publication, for the impellor to pump housing clearance..

6. Position the drive-shaft over the fan hub and press it in to place, maintaining the specified distance from the housing mounting face to the front face of the hub, as shown in Fig. 10.
