There is no adjustment necessary or provided for. When Installing the clevis pin, (16, Fig. 7), ensure that the pedal is in the high position, as shown. Make sure also, that the spring washers (17) on the pedal shaft are fitted in the position indicated.

PROPELLER SHAFT
General
A needle roller bearing propeller shaft, so designed that assembly is very simple, is fitted t6 the car. The sliding spline portion of the propeller shaft is en-closed within the rear end of the gearbox. All the bearings are sealed and do not require any greasing.

To remove and refit propeller shaft
(See Fig. 8).

Remove bolts and nuts from the rear driver coupling. Shakeproof washers are fitted under the nuts of the bolts. Always use new shakeproof washers when refitting. The heads of the four bolts in the coupling on the rear axle should face the differential unit.
Lower and withdraw the shaft in a rearward direction. Care should be taken not to lose oil from the gearbox when the shaft is withdrawn.
Before refitting the shaft ensure that the splines and the sleeve of the sleeve yoke assembly are free from grit or sharp edges and are lightly lubricated.
