The assembly area for Sunbeam spectators is just as busy as the paddock is for the racers. This turnout really illustrates the enthusiasm and intensity STOC's members have for their cars... and is somewhat embarrassing when we look at the relative number of Sunbeams in the States compared with our turn out for events.

Down right crowded, one might say. Looks somewhat like the Rootes Group Assembly Plant vehicle storage area.

The Sunbeam Challenge really came down to a race between two drivers and their cars, Chris Beighton and Jackie Cochrane. After trading the lead back and forth the two cars touched on the last lap and went off course! Chris and his car made it back onto the course first and took the checkered flag!

After the Chasestead Sunbeam Tiger / Alpine Challange, STOC members gather for a provided lunch and the awards presentations.

Dave Smallridge emcees the awards in front of a very enthusiastic crowd. His company is responsible for sponsoring the Challange.
