The next day, Saturday morning, it is all about qualifying. Here I've played "tag team" with Peter and take the car out for the second half of qualifying. We end up griding 38th in the field of 61 cars.
...and about fussing with the car. Here Gordon England, Steve Alcala, Simon James and others put in their share of fussing. The handling on the Coupe is being particularly temperamental.
The races have begun and it's time for the 4th plateau. Gordon and Rosemary Smith accompany Peter to pre-grid. Rosemary, a former Rootes rally driver, ran at the Goodwood Revival two weeks earlier and has come over from her native Ireland for this event.
Gordon does last minute checking to make sure everything is set for Peter. We have decided Peter will drive rounds one and three and I will drive rounds two and four.
