CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATIONOF SUNBEAM TIGER OWNERS (CAT)
Membership Information
The California Association of Sunbeam Tiger Owners (C.A.T.) is devoted exclusively to the preservation, restoration and enjoyment of Sunbeam Tiger and Alpine automobiles. Though C.A.T. was founded as, and remains primarily, a Tiger club, we long ago recognized the importance and distinction of the Alpine. We, thus, welcome Alpine owners and frequently promote separate competitive classes and awards for Alpines.
C.A.T. was founded in 1969 by a small group of Southern California Tiger owners who gathered socially in the North Hollywood area to exchange information and ideas about their "exceptional" motorcars. Since then C.A.T. has grown to nearly 800 members worldwide. Though we remain strictly a regional club, with no organized chapters or affiliations of any kind, our remote members treasure their association with us and view our monthly newsletter, shopnotes, technical information and replacement parts as a bargain - well worth the annual dues.
- Tiger Tales -
Our monthly newsletter contains interesting and informative feature articles and news items about past and future events, "how-to" and "where-to-find-it" type shop notes, parts information and classified advertising for members to buy, sell or trade cars, parts, supplies and related products and services.
- C.A.T. Parts -
Our parts department offers selected replacement engine and drivetrain parts, suspension parts, body parts, soft and trim parts and miscellaneous club products. Many of these are developed by the club and are simply no available elsewhere. They are sold to members only, at cost plus a small mark-up. The mark-up covers the cost of operation the parts business and provides a small contribution to a research and development fund for future parts. This is strictly non-profit business, with no paid staff of any kind.
