Tim is a frequent contributor of his excellent expertise and experience with
Tigers, as well as his professional knowledge on Paints and Finishes, working
for one of the world's largest paint and finishes manufacturers.
Tim is currently considering moving to Valencia, California for his company.
He doesn't think he'll miss the cold in Canada.
As a frequent contributor to the Tiger list, and a Technical Editor for this
web site, his knowledge is well known.
Tim has designed his own decal for the center of his wheel. It is a
very handsome piece, and if more decals could be produced, there would probably
be a demand for them in Tiger circles.
Tim says: I have always been into unique cars and it started back when I was
18 and pro-streeted a 1959 English Ford Zephyr Convertible. I was an auto body
Technician at the time and for a while fabricating Drag Race cars in my Garage
ground up. Initially I was heavily involved in Drag racing and squeezed about
700HP out of a 406 iron head Chevy with 2 nitrous systems in the Zephyr that
propelled it to a 10.80 at 121 MPH through the mufflers. This was back when
nitrous was little known or understood in 1986. Made a decision to leave racing
while attending university but was re-initiated back into racing with my
Brother-in-law with a local class Road race car which we built together and
wound up evolving into GT-1. With all of the road course experience I became
interested in Tigers after reading up on them about 5 years ago. I subsequently
decided I wanted another toy and purchased my Tiger in May 1999. While not an
Engineer I bring a broad amount of experience in, "been there, done that".
