As dusk settles in so do the cars for the first round of the 4th Plateau.



The checkered flag has come out so, Sunbeam enthusiast, e-mail friend and new acquaintance from Paris, Denis Stevens, and I head for the paddock to greet Peter.



Not really what we had hoped for, the motor broke on Peter's last lap. Peter and team manager, Gordon England, seen here debriefing. Of primary importance, Peter is okay. Next, the car is intact. As we would find out later, I must not have been meant to run the second round of the Classic, where a horrific accident destroyed more than one car.



Let down? Yes, but safe we are. Here Peter and I, flanked by Shirley and Sarah, debrief.



Sunday morning, despite the broken motor, 180B still draws a crowd.
