From Rockingham things become a blur. Tom Langton & I trailer the cars back to Kimcote.

Dave Smallridge & his wife, Jane, have planned a BBQ for everyone so it's off to their lovely estate for more great food, conversations and company. Later that night Gordon England would drop me off at my hotel.

The next morning he and I would drive south to John & Angela Dandy's lovely home, chattering all the way about planning for Le Mans. I have asked Gordon and he has accepted the position of Team Manager for Le Mans, a position he took very seriously.

In 1964 John was married to Ian Garrad's sister. He was at Le Mans for the race, fell in lust with the Coupes and has never been quite the same since.

A small bit of playing tourist, Angela takes me to Hampton Court Palace Privy Gardens.

Nothing quite as lovely as a formal English Garden (Hampton Court Palace)
