- You will notice there are two tapped holes, one at either end if this manifold, both leading into the induction system. The rear hole must be plugged and the brake servo pipe adaptor inserted in the front hole together with the pipe banjo and banjo bolt.
- Having cleaned the surfaces of the cylinder hears and cylinder block, position new seals and gaskets. Carefully lower intake manifold into position, working from the center to the ends, torque all bolts in sequence to 3/5 ft./lbs, repeat sequence and finally torque all bolts to 14/16 ft./lbs. Position throttle return spring bracket supplied under front left intake manifold bolt.

You may now replace radiator cover and secure.
- Install carburetor gasket on manifold followed by anti-smog plate, followed by second gasket. Before installing carburetor, connect smog pipe to smog plate and secure, other end being already secured to smog valve on rocker cover.
- Install carburetor, remembering to position throttle cable, retaining bracket on left rear stud, now secure all four stud nuts, making sure to use a suitable lock washer under left rear stud nut.
- Connect fuel line and secure.
